Cheilodactylidae - Morwongs

The Red Morwong, Cheilodactylus fuscus, is very common at Julian Rocks, and is the most common morwong on NSW reefs. It has a reddish brown upper body, with pale bands near the tail, and a small pair of horns in front of the eyes.

Distribution =   eastern Australia and NZ.
Max size =   65cms, usually 30cms
