terebellid worm
terebellid worm

family Terebellidae

The scaly section at the top of the picture is part of a resting Wobbegong. The bottom of the picture is dominated by a grey sponge. In between are the tentacles of an unidentified, and probably undescibed, Terebellid worm. The tentacles are flat and rolled into a tube. The similarly coloured, but much smaller arm, poking out of a hole in the sponge belongs to a brittle star.
